Laguna Beach Resort comprises both residents and holiday makers. As you would expect from a complex including full-time residents the excellent services are well-maintained making it a fantastic place to holiday all year round!

The apartments at Laguna Beach are surrounded by a naturally formed lake, two fantastic swimming pools and indoor spa facilities, backing on to a sandy beach. Our apartment is at the heart of Laguna Beach Resort and overlooks the tennis and paddle courts, the pools (seasonal opening times) and the seascape on the horizon. With the top floor position, spacious sun terrace with built in BBQ and outside kitchen facilities the apartment is a great place to spend your well-earned holiday.
Inside, the penthouse has been furnished to a high standard to help make your stay a comfortable one. The lounge has a large corner sofa, as you can see from the photographs and makes for a very comfortable afternoon siesta! Satellite TV has been installed and there is also a DVD player should you want a quiet evening in. Air conditioning has just been fitted so you can be sure that during the very hottest weather you can keep cool when you step inside.
Having been on a few self-catering holidays ourselves, we’ve made sure that the right utensils are in place in the kitchen, in particular a set of sharp knives, efficient oven gloves and good quality tea towels. We’ve made a few additional purchases this year, including some summer cookbooks (to give you inspiration with the BBQ food!) and some new fluffy white towels for a little bit of added luxury.
Nearby beaches and clear blue Mediterranean waters of this exquisite area with its magical coves, untouched beaches, pretty festive towns, beautiful uplands and snow covered mountainous backdrops, place you in your very own Laguna paradise.
The Penthouse Apartment : Room by Room
The penthouse can be accesses one of two ways. If you’ve been dropped off by taxi then you will enter via the ground floor and need to make your way up to the top floor via the lift. Alternatively, if you’ve arrived in your own hire car then you will have parked in the secure underground car park. There are no awkward steps to manoeuvre your suitcases over, simply unload your car, walk to the lift, enter and press the button! The lift arrives outside the front door of the apartment. From the front door, you enter the living space, with the kitchen to your left and lounge straight ahead. Both the kitchen and the living room have patio doors leading directly on to the lounge terrace.
Indoor and Outdoor Living Spaces
The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with everything you would expect, the large fridge freezer is invaluable during the summer months - make sure you make up plenty of ice early on and get the water from your complementary welcome pack stacked in the fridge! The hob is halogen, very efficient and easy to keep clean during your stay. There is plenty of preparation and storage area in the kitchen and the inventory includes good quality saucepans (with lids!), serving dishes, large dinner plates and plenty more.The sunlight streams in to the lounge area through the front and side patio doors but you have the option of pulling the curtains across and switching on the air conditioning if you prefer a cooler room. The large corner sofa enjoys blue sky views and has plenty of cushions for maximum comfort. The coffee table and low side unit holding the television have drawer and shelf space for all your holiday necessities. With satellite television, a dvd player and a small selection of magazines and books you can be sure that everyone will be kept entertained.
Lounge Terrace and Roof Top Solarium
You can access the lounge terrace from either the living room or the kitchen and the roof top solarium is reached via the stairs on the terrace. Both have views across Laguna Beach’s sports facilities : tennis and paddle courts, outdoor pools, pool bar and beach hut style bar and the sea to the left. Straight ahead, the sea horizon can be seen above the roofs of the apartments opposite. The solarium is open plan but has three subtly separated areas : a sunbathing area at the font, a dining area in the middle and a drinking / food preparation area to the rear. The built in BBQ and kitchen facilities are to the rear and from here you can enjoy views across the roofs of Almeria's infamous greenhouses and towards the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The Bedrooms and Bathrooms of the Penthouse
There are three bedrooms. Bedrooms Two and Three are almost identical – both have twin beds and a fitted double wardrobe with an internal chest of drawers plus a bedside drawer unit with lamp. These bedrooms share the main bathroom, which has a bath and shower over with glass screen. The Master Bedroom has its own en suite shower room and French doors with Juliette style balcony. The wardrobe in the Master Bedroom is also fitted and has an internal chest of drawers. In addition, each side of the double bed has its own drawer unit and lamp.All three bedrooms have blackout shutters and the wardrobes have been furnished with a good supply of matching wooden hangers. The bed linen is cool cotton, essential for summer stays and you will find extra blankets in the wardrobe of each room if you are holidaying outside the peak summer months or prefer a warmer bed!
