Holiday Accommodation Almerimar

Destination : Holiday Accommodation Almerimar

Almeria aiport is 60km from the penthouse so after stepping off the plane it won’t be too long before you’re sipping a glass of wine on the terrace.

Ryanair and easyJet both fly to Almeria airport so take a look at their websites to get an idea of flight prices. Other airlines flying here include Monarch Airlines and Iberia and you can see an overview of them all at skyscanner. On your return home, you’ll be pleased (or may be not!) to know that Almeria airport is well equipped with duty-free shopping, cafés, bars, newsagents, restaurants and boutique style shops. As an alternative to Almeria aiport you can fly in to Murcia, Alicante or Malaga and the transfer time to the penthouse is between two to three hours. Again, skyscanner will show you what airlines land at these airports.

Hiring a car for your holiday

We recommend hiring a car for your stay at Laguna Beach as this will make grocery shopping easier and enable you to explore this developing area of Andalucia on your own schedule. Although you can hire a car from Almeria aiport once you land it makes more sense to arrange the hire car in advance of your stay to ensure availability of the type of car you would like. Just like all over Spain, Almeria car hire is painless and economical and once on the road you’ll discover that getting around is quite easy, even if you don’t speak Spanish. Once you’ve booked we’ll send you detailed directions for you to find your way easily to the penthouse. The journey time from the airport to the penthouse is about 50 minutes.

Prices and reservations for car hire at Almeria airport can be found on the websites of a number of global car hire companies, including Avis, Centauro, Europcar, Rucar and Solmar.
We made some enquiries through these websites and found that the average cost of hiring a small car for one week was around £120. Baby and booster seats can be hired with your car and typically cost around £10 per seat per week.

Travelling by bus in Almeria

Travelling by bus is a great way to get around without a car. There are frequent services between the main towns in Andalucia and also day and overnight services to and from Madrid. Buses will be the only form of public transport into the surrounding villages and services are operated by different private bus companies. Most operate from the main bus terminals in the towns but some do use their own bus station. Tickets between towns should be purchased from the bus company's ticket sales window, this ticket will also be a reservation (possibly also the allocation of a seat). The bus driver usually checks the tickets as the passengers board. On shorter journeys or when boarding between towns the custom is to pay the driver.

Trains and Ferries

Renfe provides services into Almeria via many locations outside of Costa de Almeria, however it's not considered the best method of transport within Costa de Almeria, car hire is generally preferred. Almeria ferries run to Melilla, Al Hoceima, Nador and Ghazaouet on the coast of Africa, extending your holiday even further a field!
